The collection consists of an autographed manuscript of a 178 acre land survey in St. John's Parish belonging to John Stewart, Senior, and dated Dec. 3, 1761. The survey, "pursuant to Warrant from His Excell. James Wright Esq. Captain General & Governor in Chief," is signed by the Surveyor General Henry Yonge and W. DeBrahm and illustrated with the location of the property and indications of the neighboring tracts and their owner's names.
